I’ve had this picture saved on my computer for a few weeks now, waiting to come up with the exact right thing to say to get my point across.
But then I decided the picture speaks for itself. Ready?
In case you can’t tell what it is, I’ll give you a little hint: Think chicken nuggets. Or chicken patties.
Any fast food chicken or processed chicken in the freezer section of the grocery store.
Now you’re saying “Wait a minute…that doesn’t look like chicken.”
Exactly. It’s the whole chicken she-bang- the grinder doesn’t discriminate chicken parts.
To make that mental image even better, because it’s so full of bacteria, it’s then “washed” with ammonia and dyed pink to look “real”.
If that’s not enough to make you think twice, have you seen what a 180-day-old Happy Meal looks like?
Suddenly the extra 2 minutes it takes to pack my lunch in the morning doesn’t sound so inconvenient.

EW! I knew from “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” that they use the whole chicken, bits and pieces and everything, but I never thought it would look so bubble-gummy! EW EW EW!!
Is it the same case for lunch meats? I nearly lost my turkey sandwich reading this.
i know it’s terrible.. but i’m still a chicken nugget addict! for as long as i can remember they’ve always been my go-to food. the jamie oliver vid only freaked me out for about 2 months.. then i had the biggest mcds craving and gave in
Why would they dye the raw product pink? That doesn’t make sense when the final product is not pink at all, nor would anyone want it to be…
That is so sick. Ill never be able to feel the same way about strawberry soft serve again
I’d pretty much given up McDonald’s before seeing this post–we usually only eat it on a road trip. Now, I’m going to find another option! Gross, gross, gross.
I’m with Kate on the strawberry soft serve. Thanks for ruining it, McDonald’s.
